Now that we’ve had the first couple of snowstorms this season, it’s time to get serious about our winter accessory game. It’s actually possible to enjoy those chilly days, but appropriate bundling up is in order.
First up, on the necessity list is a pair of touchscreen gloves. Let’s face it, smartphones aren’t going away any time soon, so having a pair of gloves that will protect your digits from the cold, while simultaneously allowing you to use the Rocket Man app to figure out when the next streetcar will be arriving is a must-have. Don’t settle for a pair of regular gloves, touchscreen gloves are the only way to go!
For those slush-full days, a pair of waterproof winter boots is a must. And while it’s tough to find great winter boots that are both stylish and practical, this pair from Cougar Boots is pretty perfect. Guaranteed waterproof, temperature rated, with anti-slip outsoles – these boots will keep you nice and warm all winter long.
Of course, no winter outfit is complete without a cozy scarf. I tend to look for ones that are lightweight, and this cashmere blend Aloha circle scarf fits the bill. The black and white pattern is eye-catching, but is still neutral enough to go with a variety of outfits this holiday season.
Last, but certainly not least, you’ve got to keep your head covered up with a cute hat. Colourful toques have been trending for a couple of seasons now, and they don’t seem to be going away any time soon. This fun Bench beanie is a fave, and will add a pop of colour to any outfit, taking your winter days from dreary to bright.
And while an ugly holiday sweater is not an accessory, it’s also a must-have this winter. You can wear one all winter long, and it’s a sweater that will keep on giving, year after year, as Ugly Sweater holiday parties seem to be getting more and more popular each year.
So tell me, what are your winter must-have accessories? Share your faves in the comments.
